JTC Roofing & Cladding Ltd recently undertook a critical roofing project for CamGrain Ltd, a prominent grain storage facility in Balsham, Cambridge. This project focused on enhancing the facility’s ventilation system to prevent crop contamination and improve overall efficiency.

CamGrain’s existing ventilation fans had become severely blocked due to external vermin nesting, which hampered airflow and led to an accumulation of crop dust inside the storage units. The reduced airflow was not only a potential health hazard but also compromised the integrity of the stored grain. Our team conducted a thorough assessment and determined that replacing the outdated fans was the best course of action.
Installation of Advanced Ventilation Fans
To resolve the issue, we replaced the old fans with new, high-performance Haydor fans, which are renowned for their superior blade efficiency and energy-saving capabilities. These fans were specifically chosen to enhance airflow and ensure that the facility operates at peak efficiency. Our skilled in-house electrician handled the wiring, integrating the new system seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.
